Recreation League Soccer

Recreation soccer is for those  players that are seeking a fun, ten week season of soccer in the spring and/or fall. Teams play four games at home at our fields in Highland, and four games at neighboring clubs. The teams are all parent coached and practices are held at our home fields in Highland, or at local school facilities. Practice days and times are decided by the volunteer/parent coach, based on his/her personal family and work schedule. There will most often be two practices a week. Games are played on a Saturday or Sunday. Occasionally, a weekday game will occur.  Our youth recreation teams play in the WSSL league, the largest youth soccer league in Michigan.

The Huron Valley recreational program is for all youth players, ages 8 thru high school. Assigning players to recreational team rosters on the basis of talent by the use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting, or similar processes is prohibited. Recreational players may not be “cut” from a team. If your teams does not have a coach, a parent from the team will be asked to step up.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education!  This new partnership allows our registration to be included in their website and community directory and allows us to reach out to every family in the Huron Valley District.

The seasonal registration fee to play on a recreation team is $170. This fee covers the cost of jerseys, all club field costs, league, state, and referee game fees.  Players must purchase independently, the following items to complete their game day uniform: black socks, black shorts, shin pads and a size/age appropriate soccer ball.
